Getting off to a good start

Our 2017 musical year is off to a strong start!  We’re enthused about new musical opportunities, extended collaborations with talented artists, and adding new tunes, creative and innovative arrangements and original compositions to our upcoming performances.

Whether they are performing for a special private event or for a public stage appearance, Mélange Jazz Collective, LB Jazz +One and MïxT BeatZ will bring their cool sophisticated vibes and personal style – which are hallmarks of our entertainment experience – back to their performances. As an entertainment hub, Philadelphia is enjoying a vibrant music scene of many genres. Here are some of the venues on the local jazz scene where you can experience our musicians’ sound firsthand.

 Warmdddy’s

Warmdaddy’s is a place to enjoy Southern cuisine and hospitality, Live Jazz and Blues music and entertainment. For almost a decade, the 100-seat restaurant provides live entertainment every night of the week, showcasing in-house performances by local artists and national acts.

Before a packed house, Mélange Jazz Collective Trio kicked off the new year with their first performance on January 5 at Warmdaddy’s Thursday Happy Hour “Groove Series”, hosted by Michael Tozzi and ijazzglobal.com. Mélange is featured for this event on the first Thursday of the month and will return on February 2, March 2, April 6; 6:00pm to 7:15pm.

Paris Wine Bar

Paris Wine Bar, a casual and elegant Parisian style bistro with intimate vibes, is the perfect spot to enjoy live jazz and a late night drink or dinner. http://www.philly.com/philly/entertainment/Pretend-like-youre-in-Paris-without-ever-leaving-Philly.html. Laurent will be joining the Bert Harris Trio on tenor and soprano sax for their performance on January 28, February 25 and March 25, 9:00pm – 12:00am

Wister BYOB

Located in the heart of Old City, Wister is a cozy and inviting BYOB that features fresh seasonal menu and live Jazz on special nights. Mélange will bring their sound back to Wister on Tuesday, January 17, for Jazz Night.

Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant

Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant, a local musical fixture as well, is a great spot to enjoy Sunday Live Jazz Brunch, one of their signature events. Mélange Jazz Collective has been delighting audiences for this occasion for many years and will appear there again on Sunday February 5, March 5, April 2.
